School Closure Information
It is with a heavy heart that we would like to confirm that school will be closing today (20th March) from 3.05pm. We are very sorry that we have been forced to make this decision and thank you for your continued support as we try to navigate a difficult and unprecedented situation. For more information please see our letter below.
We have created translated versions of this information which you can find here:
Key Worker Information
As a school we want to support you and your family through this difficult time. The Government has asked schools to support families who are key workers (such as NHS staff, caregivers and so on). To help us make arrangements to support you while school is shut, we need some more information from you.
Please fill out this form asap and we will be in touch with more information shortly. The deadline for form submissions is 3.30pm on Thursday 19th March.
Coronavirus Update 17th March 2020
We continue to follow public health England advice and have no reported cases of Coronavirus in our school community. School remains open and we look forward to welcoming your children to a safe, caring and happy school.
As we prepare for a potential school closure, we have begun to create learning packs that children can take home. We have also created a 'learning from home' page on our website https://www.bowlingpark.school/learning-from-home.
We will update you regularly.
The World Economic Forum have released this fantastic video about the importance of play. Play isn't just great fun, its also a really fantastic way for children to learn, make friends and make sense of the world. Building a Lego tower uses problem solving skills, dressing up develops confidence and creativity! The possibilities are endless when it comes to play.
Usher Street site closed!
Please be aware, despite what you may have heard from Bradford Council, our Usher Street site school is not open at this time. Our New Cross Street is providing all childcare facilities for key worker and vulnerable families. Thank you.
