Well-being and Support
Well-being and Mental Health is a priority for us. We all have mental health. Your mental health affects how you feel, think and act. It refers to your emotional, psychological and social well-being. Your mental health can change on a daily basis and over time, and can be affected by a range of factors.
In school we support children’s mental health through:
- Use of emotion coaching in the classrooms
- Calming classrooms
- Use of Mind up
- Exciting learning opportunities
- Strong positive relationships with staff through the use of emotion coaching
- Teaching of personal, social, health and relationships education (including online safety)
- Pastoral interventions, such as conflict resolution; play, sand and Lego therapy; friendships groups and managing emotions
