Well-being and Support
Well-being and Mental Health is a priority for us. We all have mental health. Your mental health affects how you feel, think and act. It refers to your emotional, psychological and social well-being. Your mental health can change on a daily basis and over time, and can be affected by a range of factors.
In school we support children’s mental health through:
Use of emotion coaching in the classrooms
Calming classrooms
Use of Mind up
Exciting learning opportunities
Strong positive relationships with staff through the use of emotion coaching
Teaching of personal, social, health and relationships education (including online safety)
Pastoral interventions, such as conflict resolution; play, sand and Lego therapy; friendships groups and managing emotions
Here are some really good websites for support in well-being and mental health
