Snow Day Home Learning
Good morning, Nursery children.
We are thinking about the clothes we need to play outside on a cold day.
● Can you practice putting on your own hat and gloves?
● Some children might need to have a go at putting on coats and fastening the zip and buttons too.
● Learning to do these things independently is a really important skill that children usually learn during their time in Nursery.
What is the weather like today? We have had lots of snow overnight so we have a snowy story for you today. Snowballs is a simple story showing what one person does to fill their landscape with snow people—a snow dad, mom, boy, girl, baby, family cat, and even "our dog Spot." And when the snow melts . . . well, that's just part of the story.
Can you draw a snowy picture with your pencils and crayons? You could even add glitter and sparkles like real snow. Kitchen foil or cotton wool is good for snowy pictures too. We would love to see what pictures you create, send them to: nurseyteachers@bowlingpark.school
In maths, we are learning about matching and sorting. What do you remember about matching and sorting? Can you match and sort lots of different socks, gloves or wellies/shoes into matching pairs? Use the items you have at home or you could use the pictures below.
If you would like to show us your matching and sorting activities you can send them to: nurseyteachers@bowlingpark.school
